What is the value of earning a PhD in InnovationLeadership©?

The PhD deepens research competence and fosters the ability to connect theory and practice. It strengthens innovation and leadership skills, enhances credibility in strategic decision-making, and promotes the transfer of research into actionable results. Why is the program designed to be part-time?

The part-time structure allows professionals to pursue their PhD alongside their careers. It supports knowledge transfer between academia and practice, enabling candidates to apply their research directly to real-world contexts. This approach makes the PhD both motivating and feasible for professionals with demanding schedules.

How much time should I plan to invest per week?

The workload varies depending on your research phase and personal working style.On average, participants should plan approximately +/-14 hours per week for research, supervision meetings, colloquia, and writing. During more intensive stages (such as before conferences or paper submissions), the workload may temporarily increase.

How long does the program take?

The regular duration is 3 years (6 semesters). Extensions are possible upon request, depending on individual progress and research focus.

What are the program costs?

The total program fee is €33,000, which covers close supervision, seminars, and academic support through Alma Mater Europaea – ECH. Fees can be paid in several flexible instalment models. Only regular enrollment fees apply at the University of Bamberg – there are no additional tuition costs.

When can I start?

You can start at any time. Research topics are defined individually and supported within a structured supervision framework.
